DFI ASL171-CB-N150 Intel N150 Mini-ITX Motherboard with Dual 2.5GbE, DP and HDMI

Not every Mini-ITX project needs a board rated for frost and heat. Kiosks, digital signage and indoor control stations sit in heated buildings, and there the budget is better spent on cores. The ASL171-CB-N150 is the standard-temperature build in the DFI ASL171 series of Mini-ITX motherboards, with the same I/O and expansion as its Amston Lake siblings.

The Intel Processor N150 (Twin Lake) has four cores running up to 3.6 GHz within a 6 W TDP, so this N150 motherboard offers quad-core headroom at the lowest TDP in the series. Memory is one DDR5 4800 MHz SO-DIMM of up to 16 GB. Intel UHD Graphics decodes HEVC, VP9, AV1 and AVC in hardware, which suits video playlists on signage, and drives a DP++ output at up to 4K 60 Hz alongside an HDMI 2.0 output.

Four rear USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and four internal USB 2.0 headers take touch controllers, receipt printers and card readers. Two 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226IT controllers, six COM ports (two RS-232/422/485, four RS-232) and 8-bit DIO cover payment terminals, sensors and relays. Three M.2 slots take a cellular module with Nano SIM, Wi-Fi and an optional display module, with a PCIe x4 slot and two SATA ports for storage.

The ASL171-CB-N150 runs from 12 V DC on a barrel connector or 4-pin header and operates from -5 to 65 °C fanless, with CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance. If the installation moves outdoors, ASL171-CT-x7433RE is the quad-core Atom build rated from -40 to 85 °C, and ASL171-CT-x7213RE keeps DP, HDMI and four USB 3.2 ports across the same range.
