DFI CS332-C246 Intel 8th and 9th Gen Core Industrial Micro-ATX Motherboard with C246 Chipset, Quad LAN and Four Expansion Slots

A network video recorder or protocol gateway that runs for months without a restart is where ECC memory earns its place, catching single-bit errors before they corrupt a recording or a message queue. The CS332-C246 is the C246 build of the CS332 series, an industrial Micro-ATX motherboard with ECC memory support, TPM 2.0 and two GbE ports, or four on the network build.

The LGA1151 socket takes 8th and 9th Gen Intel Core processors, from the four-core i3-9100TE at 35 W to the six-core i7-8700 and the eight-core i7-9700E at 65 W, plus dual-core Pentium G5400 and Celeron G4900, and DFI rates it up to 95 W. Four DDR4 2666 MHz DIMM slots take up to 128 GB, with ECC on Core i3, Pentium and Celeron. Intel UHD Graphics drives VGA and two DP++ outputs as three independent displays, and Intel AMT runs with Core i5 and i7.

Networking is two GbE ports on Intel I219LM and I210AT controllers, with two more I210AT ports available to order. Storage covers an M.2 PCIe x4 Gen3 NVMe socket and four SATA 3.0 ports with RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10, and an M.2 E-key socket and a Mini PCIe slot take Wi-Fi or other modules. The rear panel has four USB 3.2 Gen 1 and two USB 2.0 Type-A ports and an RS-232/422/485 DB-9, and headers add two USB 3.2 Gen 1, four USB 2.0, three RS-232 ports and 8-bit digital I/O.

The CS332-C246 runs from a standard ATX supply over 24-pin and 8-pin connectors, with an active CPU cooler, from 0 to 60 °C, and carries CE, FCC, RoHS and UL compliance. Where ECC is not needed and two rear USB 3.2 ports are enough, the CS332-Q370 keeps the same slots, M.2 sockets and LAN options.
