DFI RPP171-IE-1345UE 10-Core Intel Core i5-1345UE Industrial Mini-ITX Motherboard with Triple 2.5GbE and -20 to 70 °C

Operator HMIs and edge gateways often combine a visualization client, a protocol converter and a historian on one machine, and each extra service needs its own share of cores. The RPP171-IE-1345UE is the Core i5 build of the DFI RPP171 series of Mini-ITX motherboards, keeping ten cores and a wide temperature rating at a lower clock than the i7.

The Intel Core i5-1345UE (13th Gen Raptor Lake) has ten cores at up to 4.6 GHz, 12 MB cache, a TDP of up to 28 W and Intel vPro. Memory is two DDR5 5200 MHz SO-DIMMs in dual channel, up to 64 GB. Intel Iris Xe Graphics runs two DP++ outputs at up to 4096 x 2304 and 60 Hz plus a USB-C port with DisplayPort Alt Mode, and the M.2 A-key takes DFI’s optional M2A module for an eDP, LVDS, VGA, HDMI or DP panel.

Three 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226V and I226LM controllers give an HMI or gateway separate machine, camera and site networks. Four COM ports (two RS-232/422/485, two RS-232) and 8-bit DIO on internal headers connect legacy controllers, relays and indicators, next to four rear USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and four internal USB 2.0 headers. Storage runs from an M.2 NVMe drive at PCIe Gen4 x4 or two SATA ports, and the B-key, E-key and PCIe x4 Gen4 slot add cellular, Wi-Fi and an I/O card.

Power for the RPP171-IE-1345UE is 12 V DC on a barrel jack or 4-pin connector. The board operates from -20 to 70 °C with an active cooler and carries CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance, a discrete TPM and a 1 to 255 second watchdog. For heavier vision work, the RPP171-IE-1365UE adds the i7 clock; where the cabinet stays between -5 and 65 °C, RPP171-IB-U300E is the five-core option.
