DFI TGU171-IB-1115G4E Intel Core i3-1115G4E (Tiger Lake) Mini-ITX SBC with Triple LAN and Five Display Outputs

A signage wall controller or a production test station needs lots of display and I/O connections but only modest compute, and it usually lives indoors. The TGU171-IB-1115G4E is the Core i3 build in the DFI TGU171 series of Mini-ITX SBCs, keeping the full I/O of the range with a dual-core processor for installations from -5 to 65 °C.

Its Intel Core i3-1115G4E (11th Gen, Tiger Lake) has two cores and Intel UHD Graphics. Two DDR4 3200 MHz SO-DIMMs take up to 64 GB. The board offers five display outputs, four active at once: rear HDMI, DP++ and USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode at up to 3840 x 2160, internal eDP at 4K and dual-channel LVDS at 1920 x 1200, with hardware decode for H.265, VP9 and AV1 content.

For networking, two GbE ports on Intel I211AT or I210IT controllers and one 2.5GbE port on an Intel I225LM or I225IT controller connect the content server, the building LAN and a device network. Four rear USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports and four internal USB 2.0 headers take test instruments and peripherals, and two RS-232/422/485 ports, two RS-232 ports with power and 8-bit DIO drive fixtures and indicator lamps. An M.2 M-key runs NVMe at PCIe Gen4 x4, the B-key and E-key take cellular and Wi-Fi, and a PCIe x4 Gen3 slot adds a GPIB, capture or I/O card.

The TGU171-IB-1115G4E runs from 12 V DC on a barrel jack or 4-pin connector and operates from -5 to 65 °C with its active cooler, with CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance and a 1 to 255 second watchdog. For Iris Xe graphics and vPro, the TGU171-IE-1145GRE adds four cores and a -20 to 70 °C range, and TGU171-IB-6305E is the 15 W Celeron option.
