JB-FLOYD-NAO-01 Overview
A small camera analytics node often has to power its own cameras, drive a display and talk to a controller, all from one small box. The Diamond Systems JB-FLOYD-NAO-01 is an AI edge computer in the JETBOX-FLOYD series that pairs the NVIDIA Jetson Nano with Diamond’s Floyd carrier board, a preconfigured Linux OS and an enclosure for DIN rail or table-top mounting.
The Jetson Nano module brings a quad-core Arm Cortex-A57 CPU at 1.43 GHz and a GPU rated at 472 GFLOPS, with 4 GB of memory and built-in flash that holds Diamond’s Linux image based on NVIDIA JetPack. That is a good fit for classification, detection on a few streams and sensor fusion, where power draw and cost matter more than peak throughput.
The full-feature carrier gives the JB-FLOYD-NAO-01 two Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE+ on both ports, powered from an external source, so each port can feed an IP camera. Two HDMI 2.0 ports drive two displays, and two RS-232/422/485 ports, eight 3.3 V GPIO, one USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports handle controllers and peripherals. A full-size PCIe/USB minicard socket, an M.2 2280 PCIe x1 socket and a micro SD socket add storage and I/O.
Power on the JB-FLOYD-NAO-01 is a wide 7-28 V DC input, so 12 V and 24 V supplies both work, and a 12 V universal AC adapter is included for bench use. The system is rated from -25 to +80 °C, and dual SMA cutouts take Wi-Fi or cellular antennas for installed modules. For Jetson Xavier NX on the same carrier, see the JB-FLOYD-XNX-01; for a lower-cost Nano build, see the JB-FLOYD-NAO-02.

Official Diamond Systems USA Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Diamond Systems USA distributor, supplying the JB-FLOYD-NAO-01 with the Jetson module and Linux image installed and tested. For a smaller DIN rail box with screw-terminal GPIO, the JETBOX FLOYD-SC takes the same Jetson Nano module, and the JETBOX-STEVIE steps up to Jetson AGX Xavier with four serial ports. Within the JETBOX-FLOYD range, the 01 models carry PoE+, dual HDMI and a minicard socket, while the 02 models trade those for a single port and a faster PCIe x4 M.2 socket, so the right build depends on whether the cameras need power.
Across our range, the JB-FLOYD-NAO-01 sits with our edge AI computers and our Jetson Nano computers, and its powered ports place it among our PoE computers for camera installs. With power and data on one cable to each camera, it suits small camera analytics sites, retail counters and kiosks where running separate power to each camera is impractical. Its 7-28 V DC input accepts both 12 V and 24 V supplies, which simplifies wiring in cabinets that already carry one or the other.
