JB-JAX-ONX16 Overview
Industrial vision cells and control cabinets often need Jetson inference beside PLCs and drives, in an enclosure that clips onto the same DIN rail. The JB-JAX-ONX16 is the Orin NX 16GB model in the Diamond Systems JETBOX-JACKSON series, a fanless DIN rail PC built on Diamond’s Jackson carrier board in a steel body with an aluminum heat sink cover.
NVIDIA rates the Jetson Orin NX 16GB module at up to 100 TOPS, and Diamond’s Linux OS based on NVIDIA JetPack supports Super Mode, which the manual quotes at 157 TOPS for this module. That suits multi-camera inspection, people counting and robot guidance at the edge. The JB-JAX-ONX16 ships as Diamond’s JB-JAX-ONX16-1T-01, with a 1TB NVMe SSD holding the operating system, and a 2TB SSD by special order.
Front-panel I/O covers two Gigabit Ethernet ports on RJ-45, two USB 3.2 ports with USB 2.0 fallback on type A connectors and one HDMI output. One RS-232 port sits on a DB9 connector and one jumper-configurable RS-232/485 port on RJ-12, with one CAN port on DB9 and 16 GPIO on a DB25 connector, configurable for 3.3 or 5 V. Internally there is a PCIe/USB minicard socket with a nano SIM socket and an M.2 E-key 2230 socket, and Diamond can fit Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or modem modules at the factory. Front-panel reset and recovery buttons are recessed.
The JB-JAX-ONX16 takes 8-20 V DC through a pluggable screw terminal block and runs fanless from -25 to +80 °C, with Diamond estimating 70 °C with Super Mode at full performance. It mounts on a DIN rail or a shelf and is RoHS compliant. The JB-JAX-ONX8 offers the Orin NX 8GB with the same I/O, and the JB-JAX-ONA8 the Orin Nano 8GB. We supply each unit configured, with the JetPack image loaded and the system tested before it ships.

Official Diamond Systems USA Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Diamond Systems USA distributor, supplying the JB-JAX-ONX16 configured and tested for USA industrial automation and vision projects. The JACKSON carrier is the board inside it, and the JetBox Osbourne is the larger fanless computer for the Jetson AGX Orin.
The JB-JAX-ONX16 sits among our DIN rail PCs, our fanless industrial computers and our Jetson Orin NX computers. Where a control cabinet needs 100 TOPS of Orin NX inference with dual GbE and CAN on a DIN rail, this is the model to specify.
