An NVR that only records leaves the analysis to someone watching a screen later. The eNVP-JAX-AI-V0008 records and analyses in the same box: a fanless AI NVR from EverFocus that powers eight PoE cameras and runs the analytics on an NVIDIA Jetson AGX Xavier, so alerts can be raised while footage is being written.
The AGX Xavier pairs an 8-core NVIDIA Carmel Arm v8.2 CPU with a 512-core NVIDIA Volta architecture GPU and 64 Tensor Cores, on 32GB or 64GB of 256-bit LPDDR4x at 136.5 GB/s. Storage starts with 32GB of eMMC 5.1, and two SATA bays, an SD card slot and an M.2 M-Key 2280 NVMe slot add space for recordings. The eNVP-JAX-AI-V0008 supports Allxon out-of-band remote device management through an optional enabler.
Eight 10/100 PoE ports deliver up to 30 W each and 120 W in total, and two Gigabit ports carry the uplink. Eight alarm inputs and eight alarm outputs, one CAN bus port and either two RS-232 ports or one RS-232 and one RS-485 port, depending on the ordering code, connect doors, barriers and vehicle systems. HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, audio in and out, two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports complete the I/O, and M.2 slots with five antenna connectors take Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G or 5G and GPS modules.
Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a 3-pin terminal block. EverFocus rates the eNVP-JAX-AI-V0008 from -20 to 60 °C to IEC 60068-2 with 0.5 m/s airflow, and lists MIL-STD-810G Method 514.7 Category 4 vibration and Method 516.7 Procedure I shock, with CE and FCC Class A. EN 50155, UL, BSMI and PSE are offered by project. The 242 x 177 x 94 mm unit weighs 4.5 kg. For Jetson AGX Orin and a 10GbE uplink, the eNVP-JAO-AI-V0008 uses the same size of enclosure.
