Forecr DSBOX-THRMAX NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor Industrial Box PCs with 4x 25GbE QSFP28 and Optional 8x GMSL2

Humanoid robots, autonomous machines and multi-camera vision cells now run models that need far more memory and bandwidth than earlier Jetson modules offered, and the data has to leave the box as fast as the sensors produce it. The Forecr DSBOX-THRMAX series is an industrial box PC built around the NVIDIA Jetson T5000 and T4000 modules, pairing Jetson Thor compute with a QSFP28 port for four 25GbE links in a 225 x 135 x 83 mm enclosure.

Every DSBOX-THRMAX industrial box PC shares one set of interfaces. Alongside the QSFP28 port sit a Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 port, two HDMI 2.1 outputs, two USB 3.2 Type-C ports, one of them the recovery port, and a USB-C debug port. A pluggable terminal block carries an RS-232/422/485 port, two CAN bus ports with CAN FD support and two digital inputs with three digital outputs rated for 11-60 V. Storage is an M.2 Key-M 2280 slot at PCIe Gen5 x4 and an M.2 Key-M 2242 slot at PCIe Gen5 x2 for NVMe SSDs, and Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE and 5G are options with a SIM slot and antenna holes. Eight GMSL2 cameras are a factory option on two Quad FAKRA connectors at the front. The box adds a TPM 2.0 chip, an IMU, a temperature sensor, an EEPROM and an RTC rated for over ten years.

The series has two variants, split by the Jetson Thor module we fit. The DSBOX-THRMAX-T5000 carries the Jetson T5000 with 128 GB of LPDDR5X, which Forecr rates at 2070 FP4 TFLOPS (sparse). The DSBOX-THRMAX-T4000 carries the Jetson T4000 with 64 GB of LPDDR5X for models that fit within that memory, at a lower power draw.

Power is 18-32 V DC on a six-pin Phoenix Contact pluggable connector, and the enclosure operates from -25 to +55 °C. The finned aluminum enclosure cools without a fan, and a fan kit is available for sustained MAXN operation, which Forecr’s manual gives as 164 W on the T5000. A DIN-rail clip mounts the box in a cabinet. Forecr lists Ubuntu 24.04 with JetPack 7.x. The DSBOX-THRMAX series suits robotics, autonomous vehicles, drones, smart-city analytics and industrial automation.
