Giada DF614 Intel Core Series 1 Fanless Digital Signage Players with 8K Output

Signage in shopfronts, kiosks, wayfinding posts and closed AV cabinets lasts longer when no fan is pulling dust through the electronics. The Giada DF614 series is a fanless digital signage player in a finned metal chassis that cools passively. It drives three displays, one of them 8K over DisplayPort, and adds the dual LAN and serial ports that kiosk and control hardware often needs. Giada describes it as a Raptor Lake-U Refresh fanless signage player, and it shares its processors with the book-size D614, so the two share the same processor options and 8K hardware decode.

Two builds are offered on Intel Core Series 1 (Raptor Lake-U Refresh) processors at 15 W base power. The DF614-100U has the Core 3 100U with six cores and eight threads, and the DF614-120U has the Core 5 120U with ten cores and 12 threads. Intel Graphics supports DirectX 12.1, OpenGL 4.6 and OpenCL 3.0 and decodes 8K HEVC and VP9 content at 60 fps in hardware. Two DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM slots take up to 96 GB, and an M.2 2242/2280 slot with PCIe 4.0 x4 holds the SSD.

The DisplayPort runs at up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz and the two HDMI ports at up to 4096 x 2304 at 60 Hz. Two GbE RJ45 ports run on Intel i219-LM and Realtek RTL8111H controllers, so content and control networks can stay apart. I/O adds four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, a USB Type-C port, one RS232 port, one RS232/422/485 port and separate mic-in and line-out jacks. An E-Key M.2 slot takes an optional Wi-Fi card, and a B-Key M.2 3042 slot with SIM takes an optional Quectel EM05 4G module.

The DF614 series runs from a 19 V DC adapter and operates from 0 °C to 45 °C at up to 95% humidity (non-condensing), with CE, FCC Class B and UKCA marks. A watchdog timer, auto power on and RTC wake scheduling suit screens that run unattended, TPM 2.0 is optional, and an optional wall-mount kit fixes the player in a cabinet or behind a display. Giada lists Windows 11 and Ubuntu for these fanless players. In practice these players suit retail, hospitality, corporate and transport signage indoors, wherever the screens run for long hours and are managed remotely. Both builds share the same chassis, ports and outputs, so a mixed estate can use one mounting and cabling plan.
