Giada IB2-281-N100 Intel N100 2.5″ Pico-ITX SBC with 2.5GbE, HDMI and LVDS

A signage player or self-service kiosk now often runs a browser engine, a media player and remote management at once, which is a lot to ask of two cores. The IB2-281-N100 brings four cores to the 2.5″ Pico-ITX size as the N100 build of the Giada IB2-281 series, a fanless SBC measuring 100 x 72 mm.

The Intel Processor N100 is a quad-core Alder Lake-N part at 6 W, so the board stays fanless while running Windows 10, Windows 11 or Ubuntu Linux. One DDR5 SO-DIMM socket takes up to 16 GB at 4800 MHz, and an M.2 M-key 2242 socket takes an NVMe SSD on PCIe 3.0 x2. Intel UHD Graphics drives HDMI at up to 3840 x 2160 for a 4K screen and dual-channel 24-bit LVDS at up to 1920 x 1200 for an integrated panel, with both active at once.

A single 2.5GbE port on an Intel I226-V controller connects the content server or the site network. Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports sit on the edge, with two USB 2.0 ports on an internal header for a touch controller or card reader. An RS-232 header and four inputs and four outputs of GPIO handle a printer, a payment terminal or a door sensor, and an M.2 E-key 2230 socket takes a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module. An optional TPM 2.0 and a watchdog timer are listed.

The IB2-281-N100 runs from 12 V DC through a DC jack or an internal 4-pin header, with auto power-on so the player restarts after a supply interruption. It operates from 0 to 60 °C with 0.7 m/s of airflow and carries CE, FCC and RoHS compliance. The IB2-281-X7211E offers the same board with the dual-core Intel Atom x7211E for simpler fixed-function devices.
