Neousys IGT-22 Arm Cortex-A8 Sitara AM3352 DIN-Rail Industrial IoT Gateway with 8x Isolated DI/DO

Some monitoring jobs are mostly digital I/O: door contacts, limit switches, alarms, relays and indicator lamps, with a serial meter or two alongside. The Neousys IGT-22 is an industrial IoT gateway with eight isolated digital inputs and eight isolated digital outputs for that kind of panel, shipped with Debian 9 pre-installed in a 41 x 77 x 104 mm DIN-rail case. It is the high I/O version of the IGT-20 series.

It runs a Texas Instruments Sitara AM3352, a single Arm Cortex-A8 core at 1 GHz, with 1 GB of DDR3L memory and, unlike its siblings, a real-time clock, so logged events keep their timestamps without a network time source. Two microSDHC slots, one external and one internal, keep the system image and user data apart, and Neousys lists the IGT-20 series as Microsoft Azure and AWS Greengrass certified for IoT.

On the IGT-22, the digital inputs and outputs are isolated at 2500 Vrms, with the outputs switching up to 24 V DC at 100 mA, all on terminal blocks. Serial is one RS-232 port and one RS-485 port up to 115.2 kbps, with a separate three-wire RS-232 console port, and there is a 10/100 Ethernet port, a USB 2.0 port, six user-programmable LEDs and two user buttons. A full-size mini PCIe socket with an external SIM socket takes a 3G, 4G or Wi-Fi module.

Power is 8 to 25 V DC on a terminal block, and the industrial IoT gateway runs from -25 °C to 70 °C, with a wide temperature microSD card needed below 0 °C. The IGT-22 is rated for 5 Grms vibration and 50 Grms shock, with CE and FCC Class A compliance to EN 55032.
