NRU-161V-FT Overview
Perception on an autonomous machine depends on cameras that keep their signal over long, vibrating cable runs, which is why automotive GMSL2 links are common on robots and vehicles. The NRU-161V-FT takes six of them. It is the GMSL2 build of the Neousys NRU-160-FT series of robotics computers, with an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX or Orin Nano and a flattop heatsink for closed bodies.
The Jetson module is chosen at order: Orin NX with 16 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR5, or Orin Nano with 8 GB or 4 GB. Neousys rates the series at up to 100 sparse TOPS of INT8 and up to eighteen 1080p transcoded streams within 25 W, which suits multi-camera detection, segmentation and localization on the NRU-161V-FT.
Six GMSL2 inputs use waterproof FAKRA Z connectors, supporting six 2MP IMX390, six 3MP ISX031 or four 5MP IMX490 cameras with pre-built drivers, and Neousys lists further GMSL2 cameras from TIER IV, e-con, StereoLabs and Intel RealSense. A GbE port on an X-coded M12 connector links LiDAR or a second computer. CAN FD and RS-232 share an M12, an isolated GPS PPS input aligns sensor timing, and two USB 2.0 ports and VGA also use M12. A mini PCIe socket and an M.2 B key socket with dual micro SIM support take Wi-Fi, 4G or 5G, and storage is M.2 2242 NVMe. For IP cameras instead, the NRU-162S-FT carries four PoE+ ports.
Power is 8 to 35 V DC with ignition control on a 5-pin M12. The NRU-161V-FT runs from -25 °C to 70 °C when mounted on a metal plate, with MIL-STD-810H vibration and shock. The 199 x 136 x 49 mm chassis weighs 1.5 kg.

Official Neousys USA Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Neousys USA distributor, supplying the NRU-161V-FT for robots and vehicles built around GMSL2 cameras. The NRU-150-FT uses the same flattop approach with Jetson Orin NX for 2.5GbE PoE+ or USB3 cameras in cabinets. For x86 software in a sealed body, the NUVO-9531-FT brings flattop cooling to Intel 14th/13th/12th Gen Core. Each of these conducts heat into the surrounding metal. Six GMSL2 inputs are the main reason to choose this build over its PoE+ sibling.
Across our range, the NRU-161V-FT sits with our rugged NVIDIA Jetson computers and our Orin NX systems, where six GMSL2 inputs on FAKRA Z connectors are uncommon at this size. Its -25 °C to 70 °C rating places it among our extended-temperature computers for outdoor robots, and the ignition control suits vehicle duty. The isolated GPS PPS input and CAN FD port also suit it to sensor fusion on autonomous machines that log time-aligned data.
