Neousys Nuvo-8023 Intel Coffee Lake Fanless Expansion Box PC with 3 PCIe and 2 PCI Slots

Many automation systems combine newer PCIe cards with one or two PCI cards that still run a machine or test rig. The Neousys Nuvo-8023 carries both, with three PCIe slots and two 32-bit PCI slots in the wider chassis of the Nuvo-8000 series. All the slots and connectors face the same side, so add-on cards and cabling can be reached from the front of a cabinet without removing the unit.

Inside the Nuvo-8023 is an LGA1151 socket for Intel 9th or 8th Gen Core i7, i5 or i3, Pentium G5400T or Celeron G4900T, with 65 W parts set to 35 W by default. The H310 chipset takes one DDR4-2666 SO-DIMM of up to 32 GB, and Intel UHD Graphics 630 drive two DVI-D outputs.

The Nuvo-8023 has a PCIe x16 Gen3 slot with all 16 lanes, two PCIe x4 Gen2 slots with two and one lanes, and two 33 MHz, 32-bit, 5 V PCI slots. The panel also carries two GbE ports by Intel I219-LM and I210-IT controllers, four USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, two DVI-D outputs, an RS-232/422/485 port, an RS-422/485 port and three three-wire RS-232 ports, a mic-in and speaker-out jack, two internal SATA bays for 2.5-inch drives and a full-size mSATA socket with SIM support.

Power is 8 to 35 V DC on a terminal block. The system runs from -25 °C to 60 °C, meets MIL-STD-810G for vibration and shock, and carries CE and FCC Class A. Wall mounting is standard, with DIN rail and rack mounting as options. The Nuvo-8003 keeps three PCIe slots in a narrower chassis, and the Nuvo-8032 offers three PCI slots.
