The Neousys PCIe-550X series is a family of 10GbE frame grabber cards with two 10GBASE-T ports on an Intel X550-AT2 controller and a Gen3 PCIe x4 host link. One build adds 802.3at PoE+ at up to 25.5 W per port. Both support NBASE-T, 1000BASE-T and IEEE 1588. The series suits machine vision and video analytics systems using high-resolution industrial cameras.

PCIe-550X Description
High-resolution industrial cameras and multi-stream video analytics can fill a Gigabit link quickly, and each camera still needs power at the far end of its cable. The Neousys PCIe-550X series answers with two 10GBASE-T ports on one PCIe card, and in its PoE build puts IEEE 802.3at power on the same RJ45 connector. It is a family of 10GbE frame grabber cards for vision computers that need more bandwidth per camera over standard twisted-pair copper cable.
Both cards share an Intel X550-AT2 controller and a Gen3 PCI Express x4 host interface. The ports follow IEEE 802.3an for 10GBASE-T, IEEE 802.3bz for NBASE-T and IEEE 802.3ab for 1000BASE-T, so each port links at 10G, 5G, 2.5G or 1G to match existing cameras and switches. At 10G the reach is 100 meters over CAT 6a or 55 meters over CAT 6; 5G runs 100 meters over CAT 6, and 2.5G runs 100 meters over CAT 5e. The controller supports 15.5 KB jumbo frames, NIC teaming and IEEE 1588 for timed capture.
The two builds differ only in power delivery. The PCIe-PoE550X adds IEEE 802.3at-2009 PoE+ at up to 25.5 W per port, with a maximum of 51 W for powering PoE+ devices and per-port power on/off through an API; Neousys specifies CAT 6a cable for PoE+ operation. The PCIe-10G550X keeps the same two 10GbE ports without PoE, for cameras and devices that already have their own supply. Moving between them keeps the same controller, host interface and cable plan, so a design can add or drop camera power without changing the rest of the vision computer.
Each card draws a maximum of 11.5 W for 2x 10GbE operation, before any PoE+ load. Both operate from 0 to 60 °C with airflow, so the host chassis must move air across the heat sink, and both measure 168 x 111.2 mm. EMC compliance is CE Class A to EN 55024/55032 and FCC Class A to Part 15, Subpart B, with IEC 61000-4-x Level 3 immunity. Neousys names machine vision and surveillance video analytics for the series, along with high-speed, high-definition industrial cameras and high-performance WiFi access points powered over a single Ethernet cable.
