Nexcom NDiS B561S Intel Core i3-12100TE to i7-12700TE Low-Profile Digital Signage Player with 2x HDMI and 4x COM

Self-service kiosks, ticket machines and vending systems usually pair one or two screens with a cluster of serial and USB peripherals, and they need a player slim enough to fit the cabinet. The NDiS B561S is a Nexcom Digital Signage Player built for that layout, taking socketed 12th Gen Intel Core processors in a fanless case only 39 mm high. Nexcom describes it as a visual edge computer, and for three screens and wider temperatures the NDiS B561 series is its larger sibling.

The NDiS B561S takes an LGA socket 12th Gen Intel Core processor up to 35 W: the 4-core Core i3-12100TE, 6-core Core i5-12500TE or 12-core Core i7-12700TE, on the Intel H610E chipset with Intel UHD Graphics 770. Two DDR5 4800 SO-DIMM sockets take up to 64 GB. Storage is two M.2 2280 Key M sockets, one PCIe x4 on the top side and one SATA on the back.

Two HDMI 2.0 ports drive two independent displays at 4K and 60 Hz. The front carries four DB9 COM ports, COM1 RS232/422/485 and COM2 to COM4 RS232, two USB 2.0 ports, reset and power buttons, and the rear adds two USB 3.2 and two USB 2.0 ports, an Intel I219-LM GbE port, an Intel I226V 2.5GbE port and a SIM slot. An M.2 Key B socket takes a 3G, 4G or 5G module and an M.2 Key E socket takes Wi-Fi, and the NDiS B561S also has eight GPIO channels and TPM 2.0.

This Digital Signage Player runs from 0 °C to 50 °C with 0.7 m/s airflow, so it suits indoor kiosks and cabinets with some ventilation. Power is 12 V DC from a 120 W adapter, the case measures 238 x 190 x 39 mm without its bracket, and the NDiS B561S supports Windows 11, Windows 10 and Linux with CE and FCC Class A approval.
