Nexcom NDiS B561 12th Gen Intel Core Fanless Digital Signage Players with 3x HDMI

Large venues and transport hubs now expect signage to do more than loop a playlist. Screens carry live timetables, camera feeds and analytics overlays, sometimes on 8K panels, and the player behind them needs the processing to match. The Nexcom NDiS B561 series answers that with socketed 12th Gen Intel Core processors in a fanless case. These Digital Signage Players drive three independent 4K displays, or one display at up to 8K 60 Hz over HDMI 2.1, and Nexcom describes them as visual edge computers for both indoor and outdoor use.

Every NDiS B561 takes an LGA socket 12th Gen Intel Core processor up to 35 W, from the 4-core Core i3-12100TE through the 6-core Core i5-12500TE and 12-core Core i7-12700TE to the 16-core Core i9-12900TE, on the Intel Q670E chipset with Intel UHD Graphics 730. Two DDR5 4800 SO-DIMM sockets take up to 64 GB. Storage is two M.2 2280 Key M sockets, one supporting SATA or PCIe x4 and one PCIe x4, and expansion is an M.2 Key E socket for Wi-Fi plus an M.2 Key B socket with SIM slot for 3G, 4G or 5G. The I/O is generous for a signage player: one HDMI 2.1 and two HDMI 2.0 outputs, eight USB 3.2 ports, four DB9 COM ports with COM1 supporting RS232/422/485, one GbE and two 2.5GbE ports, eight GPIO channels and TPM 2.0, with Intel AMT on Core i5 and above.

The range has two versions. The NDiS B561 runs from -20 °C to 60 °C with a 120 W adapter, the version for outdoor kiosks, bus stations and other exposed sites. The NDiS B561-PoE adds Power over Ethernet on the two 2.5GbE ports so cameras or other powered devices can run from the player, with a 180 W adapter and an operating range of 0 °C to 40 °C for indoor installations.

Nexcom lists visual edge computing, public transport, security surveillance, outdoor bus stations and smart stadiums among the uses for the NDiS B561 series. The players accept a 12 V to 24 V DC input, run Windows 10 or Linux and carry CE and FCC Class A approval, in a 238 x 192 x 67.29 mm case. In practice these Digital Signage Players suit installations where one fanless unit has to drive several high-resolution screens and handle the network, serial and camera connections around them.
