Neu-X1025-N50 Overview
Where a project has standardized on DDR5 memory, or wants the newer memory type for a long deployment, the Neu-X1025 series offers the Neu-X102 design with a DDR5 socket. The Neu-X1025-N50 is the Intel Processor N50 model in the Nexcom Neu-X1025 series, a fanless mini PC with DDR5-4800, two 2.5GbE ports and dual 4K HDMI for gateways, kiosks and bus stop signs.
The Intel Processor N50 is a dual-core Alder Lake-N processor with a 6 W TDP and Intel UHD Graphics, enough for protocol gateways, kiosk front ends and signage playback with little heat. One DDR5-4800 non-ECC SO-DIMM socket takes up to 16 GB, and an M.2 2242 Key M socket takes a PCIe 3.0 x1 or SATA SSD. TPM 2.0 and a watchdog timer are on board, and Windows 11 or Linux (Ubuntu 22.04 or later) can be installed.
The port side carries two 2.5GbE ports on Intel i226-V controllers, two HDMI 1.4b outputs at up to 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, the power button and a locking DC jack. The opposite side has an RS-232/422/485 port on DB9, a remote power switch jack and two antenna holes. Inside are an RS-232 header, three USB 2.0 ports, audio line out and 4-in/4-out GPIO, and a full-size Mini PCIe slot with a nano SIM slot takes a Wi-Fi 6/6E or LTE module. The Neu-X102-N50 is the DDR4 version of this model, and the Neu-X1025-N97 is the quad-core N97 model.
Power is 12 V DC from the 60 W adapter supplied in the box, with AT or ATX power modes. The Neu-X1025-N50 has no fan and runs from −5 °C to 50 °C ambient with 0.7 m/s airflow, with shock rated to IEC 60068-2-27 and vibration to IEC 60068-2-64 and IEC 60068-2-6. It carries CE, FCC Class A and LVD marks with UL/cUL 62368-1 listing, and Nexcom lists IoT gateways, QSRs, bus stops and transit signs among its uses.
