Neu-X1025-N97 Overview
A gateway at a bus stop or an intelligent pole collects data from sensors and screens, then sends it on over a wired or cellular link, often from a cabinet with no room for a fan. The Neu-X1025-N97 is the Intel Processor N97 model in the Nexcom Neu-X1025 series, a fanless IoT gateway PC with DDR5-4800, two 2.5GbE ports and a slot for LTE or Wi-Fi.
The Intel Processor N97 is a quad-core Alder Lake-N processor with a 12 W TDP and Intel UHD Graphics, giving more headroom than the dual-core N50 for gateway software, video and kiosk applications. One DDR5-4800 non-ECC SO-DIMM socket takes up to 16 GB, and an M.2 2242 Key M socket takes a PCIe 3.0 x1 or SATA SSD. TPM 2.0 and a watchdog timer are on board, and Windows 11 or Linux (Ubuntu 22.04 or later) can be installed.
Two 2.5GbE ports on Intel i226-V controllers sit beside two HDMI 1.4b outputs at up to 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, the power button and a locking DC jack. An RS-232/422/485 port on DB9 sits on the other side with a remote power switch jack. Internally there are an RS-232 header, three USB 2.0 ports, audio line out and 4-in/4-out GPIO, and a full-size Mini PCIe slot with a nano SIM slot takes Wi-Fi 6/6E or LTE. The Neu-X102-N97 is the DDR4 version of this model, and the Neu-X1025-N305 is the 8-core Core i3-N305 model.
Power is 12 V DC from the 60 W adapter in the box, with AT or ATX power modes. The Neu-X1025-N97 is fanless and runs from −5 °C to 50 °C ambient with 0.7 m/s airflow. Shock is rated to IEC 60068-2-27 and vibration to IEC 60068-2-64 and IEC 60068-2-6, and it carries CE, FCC Class A and LVD marks with UL/cUL 62368-1 listing. Nexcom lists IoT gateways, bus stops, intelligent poles and transit information signs among its uses.
