Pairing the Jetson Orin NX 16GB with the VDB-100 camera board, the IBOX-601-M12X-00-ONX16 is the higher-memory VDB-100 build in the Sintrones IBOX-601-M12X series. It is a compact fanless railway computer for four-camera AI: driver monitoring, door and boarding checks, or forward-facing detection on rolling stock, buses and road vehicles, where M12 network connectors and a DIN rail or wall mount suit the installation.
The Orin NX 16GB combines an eight-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU, a 1024-core NVIDIA GPU and 16 GB of LPDDR5, rated at up to 100 TOPS, which leaves room for four camera streams with heavier detection models. The IBOX-601-M12X-00-ONX16 runs NVIDIA JetPack 6.2, and the system BSP is pre-installed on an NVMe SSD in the M.2 2280 M key slot, which Sintrones lists as a mandatory accessory. Four GMSL-2 cameras connect on FAKRA-Z through the VDB-100 deserialiser board; Sintrones lists the oToBrite oToCAM264ISP, oToCAM260ISP and oToCAM223 series at up to four cameras each. Networking is one Intel 2.5GbE port and one GbE port on M12 X-coded connectors. CAN FD, RS-232/422/485 and four digital inputs with four outputs at 12 V/100 mA each have a DB-9, with two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports and HDMI with 4K output. An M.2 B key slot with Nano SIM, an M.2 E key slot and a full-size mPCIe slot take optional WWAN, Wi-Fi and GPS.
Power is 9 to 60 V DC on an M12 K-coded connector, with smart power management, ignition control, overcurrent and overvoltage protection and an optional backup battery. The unit is rated from -25 °C to 70 °C with 0.6 m/s airflow and tested to MIL-STD-810G shock and vibration. It is designed to EN 50155 and EN 45545-2 (R25) requirements, with E-Mark compliance, CE and FCC Class A, in a 270.2 x 270.2 x 69 mm aluminum alloy enclosure. For e-con Systems and StereoLabs camera support, the IBOX-601-M12X-01-ONX16 uses the VDB-101 board.
