Sintrones IBOX-603P-IP66-DP NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX and Orin Nano IP66 Waterproof Computers with M12 PoE and CAN FD

Cameras at gates, barriers and outdoor work areas usually need power, a network and an AI computer close by, and the cabinet that houses them is rarely dry or clean. The Sintrones IBOX-603P-IP66-DP series is a family of fanless IP66 waterproof computers that brings those three together: the Jetson module, a four-port PoE switch and sealed M12 and M8 connectors in one aluminum alloy enclosure of 240 x 150 x 67.5 mm. Sintrones lists the series as coming soon, and both models are available to order.

Both IBOX-603P-IP66-DP models share one design. Networking is five GbE ports on M12 X-coded connectors, one from the Jetson module and four from a Marvell switch with IEEE 802.3af PoE at 15 W per port and a 60 W total budget, so four IP cameras can run from the computer without a separate PoE switch. One CAN FD port, one RS-232/422/485 port and two USB 2.0 ports use M8 connectors, and a side panel carries a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, native DisplayPort with HD audio and a USB-C recovery port. Inside are an M.2 B key slot with dual Nano SIM for an optional WWAN module, an M.2 E key slot for optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and an M.2 2242 M key slot for NVMe storage, with optional GNSS and CAN bus modules also listed.

The two models differ only in the Jetson module. The IBOX-603P-IP66-DP-ONX16 carries the Orin NX 16GB, with an eight-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU, a 1024-core NVIDIA GPU and 16 GB of LPDDR5 rated at up to 100 TOPS, for several detection streams or larger models. The IBOX-603P-IP66-DP-ON8 carries the Orin Nano 8GB, with a six-core CPU, the same 1024-core GPU and 8 GB, rated at up to 40 TOPS, for lighter vision work such as counting and presence detection. Both run NVIDIA JetPack 6.2 or above.

In practice the IBOX-603P-IP66-DP series suits camera poles, yard and port entrances, car parks, outdoor plant and vehicles where the computer has to sit in the weather. Power is 12 to 48 V DC on an M12 K-coded connector with a 10 to 57 V tolerance range, ignition detection and smart power management, and both models run fanless from -25 °C to 70 °C with 0.6 m/s airflow. They are tested to MIL-STD-810H shock and vibration, and Sintrones lists CE, FCC Class A, UKCA and IEC 62368-1 compliance for the wall-mount IBOX-603P-IP66-DP.
