Sintrones VBOX-3123-R2312 AMD Ryzen Embedded R2312 In-Vehicle Computer with 4x COM, Dual GbE and 9-60V DC Input

Some vehicle systems are mostly serial: a ticket machine, a telematics module and a CAN-connected controller can each want a port of their own. The Sintrones VBOX-3123-R2312 is an in-vehicle computer built around that kind of wiring, with four RS-232/422/485 ports, two analog inputs and a 9 to 60 V DC input, in a fanless aluminum case of 210 x 171 x 56 mm.

The processor is the AMD Ryzen Embedded R2312 with two cores and four threads and integrated AMD Radeon graphics. One DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM socket takes up to 32 GB, with ECC support when ECC memory is fitted, and a TPM 2.0 is on board. The graphics drive two HDMI 2.0b ports at 4K and 60 Hz plus a single-link DVI-D, for three outputs. In practice the VBOX-3123-R2312 suits steady control, logging and display work rather than heavy compute.

I/O covers two GbE ports on Intel I210-AT, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and two USB 2.0 ports, four digital inputs (9 to 60 V), four digital outputs and two analog inputs for 0 to 60 V. COM4 can take an optional CAN bus. Inside, an M.2 Key B socket with dual SIM takes an optional 5G or LTE modem, an M.2 Key E socket takes optional Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth, and two mini PCIe slots suit optional GPS or CAN modules. Storage is an M.2 2280 Key M socket for NVMe or SATA, plus a 2.5″ SATA drive. We supply it configured and tested, with memory, storage, the OS image and any modules fitted.

Power is 9 to 60 V DC with over-voltage and reverse polarity protection and ignition management. The computer operates from -40 °C to 60 °C with 0.6 m/s airflow, and an optional internal battery kit gives about 10 minutes of operation at 0 °C to 55 °C. Sintrones lists MIL-STD-810G vibration and shock ratings, E-Mark compliance, CE, FCC Class A and UKCA, and it wall-mounts at 1.8 kg. The Intel-based VBOX-3122 adds 2.5GbE with two COM ports, and the SBOX-2622 brings four COM ports to a slimmer embedded PC.
