Sintrones VBOX-3630-M12X Intel Core i7/i5/i3 11th Gen In-Vehicle PC with 4x M12 LAN and Quad Display

On vehicles that never stop shaking, an RJ45 plug is often the first thing to give trouble. The Sintrones VBOX-3630-M12X replaces all four LAN sockets with M12 X-coded connectors, which screw in place and keep Gigabit and 2.5GbE links seated through vibration. It is the M12 build of the VBOX-3630 series, for trucks, buses, forklifts and snowploughs that work in poor weather.

Inside is a choice of Intel 11th Gen Core processors: Core i7-1185G7E with four cores and eight threads up to 4.4 GHz, Core i5-1145G7E, Core i3-1115G4E or Celeron 6305E. TDP is 15 W and configurable from 12 W to 28 W. Memory runs to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 in two SO-DIMM sockets, and the integrated graphics drive four independent displays through two HDMI 2.0b ports, a DisplayPort and a single-link DVI-D.

The four M12 ports carry one 2.5GbE and three GbE links, without PoE. On this build Sintrones fits three RS-232/422/485 ports rather than four, alongside six digital inputs, four digital outputs, two 12 V DC outputs, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and two USB 2.0 ports. Two M.2 Key B sockets with two SIM sockets take optional 5G or LTE, an M.2 Key E socket takes optional Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth, and two mini PCIe slots take optional GPS or CAN bus modules. Storage is two 2.5″ SATA bays with RAID 0 and 1 and one M.2 2280 NVMe socket. We supply the VBOX-3630-M12X configured and tested, with memory, drives, the OS image and antennas fitted.

Power is 9 to 60 V DC with ignition sensing and a software power-off delay, plus an optional battery kit for about 10 minutes of operation. The computer runs from -40 °C to 70 °C with 0.6 m/s airflow and carries IEC 60068-2-64 and MIL-STD-810G vibration ratings, a MIL-STD-810G shock rating, E-Mark compliance, CE and FCC Class A, and is designed to EN 50155 and EN 45545-2 (R25) requirements.
