Sintrones VPC-101RB2S-OB-G2-ONX8 NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8GB 10.1″ IP66 Rugged Panel PC with GMSL-2 Camera Inputs

On buses, trucks and work vehicles, a driver often needs to see what four cameras see, with alerts added by the computer behind the screen. The VPC-101RB2S-OB-G2-ONX8 handles that as the GMSL-2 build of the Sintrones VPC-101RB2S series on the Jetson Orin NX 8GB, in a sealed 10.1 inch IP66 rugged panel PC. It is new from Sintrones and is available to order.

With a six-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU, a 1024-core NVIDIA GPU and 8 GB of LPDDR5, the Orin NX 8GB is rated at up to 70 TOPS. That suits four camera feeds with detection models sized for 8 GB, such as pedestrian or obstacle alerts. The VPC-101RB2S-OB-G2-ONX8 runs NVIDIA JetPack 6.2 or above, with the BSP pre-installed on an NVMe SSD in the M.2 2242 M key slot. For heavier models, the VPC-101RB2S-OB-G2-ONX16 has 16 GB.

The GMSL function board adds four GMSL-2 inputs on FAKRA. Sintrones lists the oToBrite oToCAM2614ISP and oToCAM223P and the e-con Systems STURDeCAM25, STURDeCAM31 and STURDeCAM81 at up to four cameras, and StereoLabs ZED X Stereo and ZED X One 4K at up to two. One 2.5GbE and one GbE port use M12 X-coded connectors. CAN FD, an RS-232/422/485 port, an RS-232 port and two USB 2.0 ports use M8, with three digital inputs and four outputs. The 10.1″ display runs at 1280 x 800 and 1,000 nits, optically bonded to projected capacitive touch with anti-glare and anti-smudge treatment.

The panel PC takes 9 to 60 V DC, nominally 12, 24 or 48 V, with ignition detection and overcurrent, overvoltage, surge and reverse polarity protection. It is rated from -25 °C to 60 °C with 0.6 m/s airflow and tested to MIL-STD-810H shock and vibration, with E-Mark compliance, CE, FCC Class A and UKCA. A service bay holds a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A and the Nano SIM slot for optional WWAN, and it mounts on VESA 100 x 100. The VPC-101RB2S-OB-P-ONX8 uses PoE+ ports for IP cameras instead.
