Sintrones VPC-101RB2S-OB-ONX8 NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8GB 10.1″ IP66 Rugged Panel PC with Optically Bonded 1000-Nit Touchscreen

With the Jetson Orin NX 8GB and no function board, the VPC-101RB2S-OB-ONX8 sits in the middle of the Sintrones VPC-101RB2S series for compute. It suits cab displays and machine-side screens where the AI load is moderate, such as one or two network cameras alongside an operator interface, in a sealed 10.1 inch IP66 rugged panel PC. The series is new from Sintrones and is available to order.

Inside, the Orin NX 8GB has a six-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU, a 1024-core NVIDIA GPU and 8 GB of LPDDR5, rated at up to 70 TOPS. The VPC-101RB2S-OB-ONX8 runs NVIDIA JetPack 6.2 or above from an NVMe SSD in the M.2 2242 M key slot, where the BSP is pre-installed. Larger models can usually move to the VPC-101RB2S-OB-ONX16 with no change to mounting or cabling.

Its 10.1″ screen runs at 1280 x 800 and 1,000 nits, with 800:1 contrast, 178 degree viewing angles and optical bonding to projected capacitive touch with anti-glare and anti-smudge treatment. Networking is one 2.5GbE and one GbE port on M12 X-coded connectors. M8 connectors carry CAN FD, one RS-232/422/485 port, one RS-232 port and two USB 2.0 ports, and the digital I/O offers three inputs and four outputs. A sealed service bay holds a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, the USB-C service port and the Nano SIM slot, with optional WWAN, Wi-Fi and GNSS on M.2.

The unit takes 9 to 60 V DC, nominally 12, 24 or 48 V, with overcurrent, overvoltage, surge and reverse polarity protection and ignition detection. It is rated from -25 °C to 60 °C with 0.6 m/s airflow and 10 to 95% humidity, tested to MIL-STD-810H shock and vibration, and has E-Mark compliance, CE, FCC Class A and UKCA.
