Stereolabs ZED-2I-NARROW (ZED-222110) USB Type-C Stereo Depth Camera with Narrow 4.6 mm Lenses, Up to 35 m Depth and 9-DoF IMU

In a large warehouse or production hall, the objects that matter are often 15 or 20 m away, and a wide lens spreads too few pixels across them. The Stereolabs ZED-2I-NARROW is the long-reach build of the ZED-2I series, with 4.6 mm lenses that narrow the view so depth and detection carry further.

The narrow lenses cover 68° horizontally, 38° vertically and 78° diagonally at f/2.0, ahead of two 1/3″ 4MP rolling-shutter sensors on a 12 cm baseline. Depth runs from 0.5 m to 35 m, with an ideal range to 20 m and accuracy within 0.4% at 2 m and 5% at 20 m. Stereolabs quotes 3D object detection to the full depth range and 2D detection to 55 m. The ZED-2I-NARROW outputs up to 2208 x 1242 per eye at 15 fps, 1080p at 30 fps or 672 x 376 at 100 fps, and positional tracking can run at up to 100 updates a second in that mode.

Power and data share one USB 3.0 Type-C connection with thumbscrew-locking cables up to 10 m, drawing a typical 1.9 W. Hosts are Windows and Linux PCs with an NVIDIA GPU, and NVIDIA Jetson Orin and Xavier modules, with the ZED SDK on Windows 11 or Ubuntu. Where coverage matters more than range, the ZED-2I-WIDE gives a 120° diagonal view, and the ZED-2I-NARROW-POL adds a polarizer to these lenses for outdoor sites.

The IP66-rated aluminum enclosure handles dust and humidity and runs from -10 °C to 45 °C, which covers most heated or unheated indoor buildings. A 1/4″-20 thread and 2x M3 holes suit ceiling brackets, gantries and the optional tiltable mount.
