Stereolabs ZED-2I-WIDE-POL (ZED-221120) IP66 Stereo Depth Camera with Wide 2.1 mm Lenses, Polarizer and Up to 20 m Depth

Outdoors, a stereo camera fails in quiet ways: sun on wet leaves, a puddle or a windscreen can wash out texture and leave holes in the depth map. The Stereolabs ZED-2I-WIDE-POL tackles that with a built-in polarizer over twin 2.1 mm lenses, making it the outdoor wide-angle option in the ZED-2I series for agricultural robots, field inspection and yard monitoring.

Stereolabs states the polarizer minimizes glare and reflections while improving color depth and overall image quality. Behind it, two 1/3″ 4MP rolling-shutter sensors sit on a 12 cm baseline and see up to 110° horizontally and 120° diagonally. Depth runs from 0.3 m to 20 m, ideal to 12 m, with accuracy within 0.8% at 2 m. Output reaches 2208 x 1242 per eye at 15 fps or 672 x 376 at 100 fps, and the ZED SDK handles depth, point clouds, positional tracking, object detection and spatial mapping.

A USB 3.0 Type-C port with thumbscrew-locking cables up to 10 m carries both data and power, at a typical 1.9 W, to a Windows or Linux PC with an NVIDIA GPU or to an NVIDIA Jetson Orin or Xavier module. The 400 Hz IMU adds a barometer and magnetometer for heading and altitude on moving machines. For longer reach, the ZED-2I-NARROW-POL keeps the polarizer with 4.6 mm lenses, and the ZED-2I-WIDE drops it for indoor work.

The IP66-rated aluminum enclosure resists dust, rain and humidity and runs from -10 °C to 45 °C, with depth precision that may drop outside that window. A 1/4″-20 thread, 2x M3 holes and a flat base suit masts, booms and the optional tiltable mount.
