Vecow ABP-3000-8145U Intel Core i3-8145UE Ultra-Slim Small Form Factor Industrial PC with Ignition Control

Gateways, kiosks and line-side controllers rarely need a fast processor, but they often need serial ports, isolated I/O and a body thin enough to fit behind a panel. The ABP-3000-8145U meets that brief with the Intel Core i3-8145UE in a 33 mm fanless chassis. It is the Core i3 small form factor industrial PC in the Vecow ABP-3000 series.

The ABP-3000-8145U uses an onboard Intel Core i3-8145UE, an 8th Gen Whiskey Lake U-series processor on the Intel Cannon Lake SoC, with two DDR4 2400 MHz slots for up to 64 GB, ECC or non-ECC. Intel UHD Graphics 620 drives two DisplayPort outputs at up to 4096 x 2304 at 60 Hz, and the board supports Windows 10 and Linux with TPM 2.0. The i3 keeps power and heat low for always-on gateway and control duty.

Networking on the ABP-3000-8145U is four Intel I350 GbE ports, two of them IEEE 802.3at PoE+ at 25.5 W with power on/off control for cameras or sensors. Four COM RS-232/422/485 ports with 8 kV ESD protection, 16 isolated DIO and four USB 3.1 ports at up to 10 Gbps handle field devices. Storage sits on an M.2 Key M socket (PCIe x4 or SATA) and an M.2 Key B socket (PCIe x2 or SATA), while a Mini PCIe socket, an M.2 Key E socket and two internal SIM sockets take 5G, 4G or Wi-Fi modules.

The small form factor industrial PC runs on 9 V to 50 V DC through a Mini-DIN connector, with 16-mode ignition control and a remote power switch. Its cableless, fanless design is rated from -40 °C to 75 °C, with IEC 60068 shock and vibration testing and EN 50155 and EN 50121-3-2 EMC listings, and the 1.4 kg Vecow unit wall-mounts.
