EAC-2000 Overview
IP camera analytics on poles, platforms and inspection lines needs a computer that powers the cameras, survives vibration and fits a small cabinet. The Vecow EAC-2000 is a rugged edge AI computer built for that, with the NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX, two PoE+ ports and MIL-STD-810G shock and vibration testing in a fanless enclosure 50 mm high.
The Jetson Xavier NX combines a 6-core NVIDIA Carmel Arm v8.2 CPU with a 384-core Volta GPU, 48 Tensor cores and two NVDLA engines, with 8 GB LPDDR4x, and Vecow quotes up to 21 TOPS. Encode reaches two 4K streams at 60 fps in HEVC, and decode handles up to six 4K streams at 60 fps. On the EAC-2000 that suits object detection, tracking and counting under Ubuntu 18.04 with JetPack.
Two IEEE 802.3at GbE PoE+ ports deliver 25.5 W each to IP cameras, and two further GbE ports carry uplinks or a separate control network. Four USB 3.1 ports, two RS-232/485 ports and one digital display output at up to 3840 x 2160 cover peripherals and local monitoring. Storage runs to an M.2 Key M 2280 socket for NVMe, 16 GB eMMC and microSD, while a nano SIM socket with M.2 Key B and Key E supports 5G, 4G and Wi-Fi modules.
The EAC-2000 runs from 9 V to 50 V DC and operates fanless from -20°C to 70°C at 10 W or to 65°C at 15 W. Shock and vibration are tested to MIL-STD-810G, and Vecow lists EN 50155 and EN 50121-3-2 EMC compliance. The enclosure measures 150.4 x 106.2 x 50.0 mm and weighs 1.2 kg. For automotive cameras and a CAN port, the EAC-2100 adds four GMSL inputs.

Official Vecow USA Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Vecow USA distributor, supplying the EAC-2000 for USA camera analytics and public safety projects. Within Vecow's Jetson range, the EAC-6000 series moves to the Jetson Orin NX in a rugged mini enclosure, and the EAC-6200 series pairs the Orin NX with PoE+ for machine vision.
MIL-STD-810G testing places it among our rugged NVIDIA Jetson computers, and its two PoE+ ports suit it to our PoE camera computers. Where a project also needs automotive GMSL cameras and a CAN port, the EAC-2100 adds both in a 62 mm high enclosure.
