EAC-2100 Overview
Traffic and inspection systems often combine automotive cameras mounted close to the subject with IP cameras further away, plus a vehicle or machine bus to read. The Vecow EAC-2100 is an edge AI computer that brings those together, adding four GMSL camera inputs and a CAN port to the NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX and two PoE+ ports.
The Jetson Xavier NX pairs a 6-core NVIDIA Carmel Arm v8.2 CPU with a 384-core Volta GPU, 48 Tensor cores and two NVDLA engines, with 8 GB LPDDR4x, and Vecow quotes up to 21 TOPS. Encode reaches two 4K streams at 60 fps in HEVC, and decode handles up to six 4K streams at 60 fps. On the EAC-2100 that suits license plate recognition, people counting and defect detection under Ubuntu 18.04 with JetPack.
Four Fakra-Z connectors accept GMSL 1 or GMSL 2 automotive cameras, and one CAN 2.0 A/B port reads vehicle or machine data. Two IEEE 802.3at GbE PoE+ ports supply 25.5 W each to IP cameras, with two further GbE ports for uplinks. Four USB 3.1 ports, two RS-232/485 ports and one digital display at up to 3840 x 2160 complete the I/O. Storage covers an M.2 Key M 2280 socket, 16 GB eMMC and microSD, with a nano SIM socket, M.2 Key B and Key E for 5G, 4G and Wi-Fi.
The EAC-2100 runs from 9 V to 50 V DC and operates fanless from -20°C to 65°C at 10 W or to 60°C at 15 W. Shock and vibration are tested to MIL-STD-810G, with EN 50155 and EN 50121-3-2 EMC listings. It measures 150.4 x 106.2 x 62.0 mm and weighs 1.3 kg. Without the GMSL and CAN interfaces, the EAC-2000 is the lower 50 mm version.

Official Vecow USA Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Vecow USA distributor, supplying the EAC-2100 for USA traffic, public safety and inspection projects. Within Vecow's Jetson range, the EAC-6100 series moves to the Jetson Orin NX with GMSL camera inputs, and the EAC-3000 series steps up to the Jetson AGX Xavier with eight GMSL inputs.
Its CAN 2.0 port places it among our NVIDIA Jetson CAN bus computers, and the module sits with our Jetson Xavier NX computers. Where IP cameras alone are enough, the EAC-2000 drops the GMSL and CAN interfaces and is the lower, lighter version at 50 mm high.
