Vecow ICS-1110S-2752TER Intel Ice Lake-D Xeon D-2752TER Edge Storage Server with 10 U.2 Bays, OOB Management and 16-50V DC

Data protection and data management at a remote site depend on fast, redundant storage that technicians can swap from the front. The Vecow ICS-1110S-2752TER is an edge storage server built for that: a 12-core Xeon D-2752TER system with ten front-access U.2 bays, in the ICS-1110S series.

The ICS-1110S-2752TER runs a 12-core, 24-thread Intel Xeon D-2752TER at 77 W TDP, which Intel lists as an Ice Lake-D part, with Intel QAT to offload compression and encryption from the cores, plus vPro and TPM 2.0. Eight DDR4 2933 DIMM sockets take UDIMM or RDIMM up to 512 GB, which leaves room for caching and file services alongside the storage. Vecow lists Windows Server and Linux.

Storage is the focus: ten front-access U.2 trays on PCIe x4, with M.2 drives supported through an optional accessory. Intel VROC handles RAID, with RAID 0, 1 and 10 on the optional Standard key and RAID 5 added by the optional upper key. Two more front-access 2.5″ trays run on SATA III with software RAID 0 and 1, beside an M.2 M key socket. Networking is four Intel I350 GbE ports and two 10G SFP+ ports, which Vecow supports under Windows Server. I/O adds four RS-232/422/485 ports, four USB, 16 isolated DIO, VGA, one PCIe x16 slot with PCIe 4.0 x2 signal and M.2 B and E key sockets for optional 5G, 4G or Wi-Fi.

Power is 16 to 50 V DC on a terminal block, with 16-mode software ignition control and a remote switch, and a dedicated out-of-band port powered by Allxon gives remote power control. The ICS-1110S-2752TER is fan-cooled and runs from 0 °C to 60 °C. Vibration is rated to MIL-STD-810G Method 514.6 and shock to Method 516.6, and Vecow lists CE, FCC and ICES, with EMC to EN 50155 and EN 50121-3-2 requirements. The ICS-1110S-2876NT uses the 16-core Xeon D-2876NT, and the ICS-1640-2752TER trades the U.2 bays for GPU slots.
