Vecow ICS-2000A AMD EPYC 8004 Siena Edge AI Server with Dual PCIe 5.0 x16, Four U.2 Bays and 90-240V AC

Data analytics and storage management at a site cabinet or control room often call for two large graphics cards, a lot of memory and mains power. The Vecow ICS-2000A is an edge AI server for that: a 24-core AMD EPYC 8224P system with two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots for GPUs and an internal AC supply, in the ICS-2000 series.

The ICS-2000A runs the AMD EPYC 8224P from the 4th Gen EPYC 8004 Siena family: 24 cores, 48 threads, 2.55 GHz and 160 W TDP. Vecow lists the 8224P as the standard CPU, with other models subject to confirmation with Vecow. Six DDR5 4800 RDIMM sockets take up to 768 GB, which suits large models and in-memory analytics. The two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots share an 1800 W power budget that supports two 2-slot graphics cards at up to 900 W each. Vecow lists Windows Server and Linux.

Four more PCIe x16 slots run PCIe 5.0 x8 signals for capture, network or storage cards. Storage is four front-access U.2 trays on PCIe x4 and four M.2 M key sockets on PCIe 4.0 x4. Networking is two Intel I350 GbE ports plus a GbE management port for the AST2600 BMC, which supports IPMI and Redfish. I/O covers four RS-232/422/485 ports, one RS-232 port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, 16 isolated DIO, DisplayPort and three nano SIM sockets, with two M.2 B key sockets, an M.2 E key socket and a mini PCIe socket for optional 5G, 4G and Wi-Fi.

Power is 90 to 240 V AC through a C14 inlet to an internal supply rated at 2200 W at 220 V, with higher ratings by request. A 16-mode software ignition control and a remote switch are included, and the fan-cooled ICS-2000A runs from -5 °C to 45 °C. Vecow rates shock and vibration to MIL-STD-810G and lists CE and FCC, with EMC to EN 50155 and EN 50121-3-2 requirements. It wall mounts with brackets. The ICS-2000 is the DC version, and the ICS-1640-2876NT offers two PCIe 4.0 x16 slots with a Xeon D CPU.
