Vecow PE-2000 Two and Four Port Gigabit PoE+ Cards with an Intel I210 per Port
The Vecow PE-2000 series is a family of PoE+ cards with two or four Gigabit RJ45 ports, each on its own Intel I210 controller. Each port supplies IEEE 802.3at power at up to 25.5 W, with IEEE 1588 PTP and a PCI Express x4 interface, rated -25 to 70 °C. The series suits surveillance, machine vision, transport and automation systems.
- Gigabit PoE+ Ports: Two or four 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports, each on its own Intel I210 controller.
- IEEE 802.3at PoE+: Up to 25.5 W at 48 V DC per port, fed from one 4-pin 12 V connector on the card.
- IEEE 1588 PTP: Hardware time synchronization for time-aligned capture across several cameras.
- Optional DIO and PoE Switch: An optional 16-channel isolated DIO module and a software-programmable PoE power switch.
- -25 to 70 °C Operation: Operation from -25 to 70 °C, storage from -40 to 85 °C, with CE, FCC and RoHS listed.

PE-2000 Description
Surveillance and machine vision systems run IP cameras that each need power and data, and a separate PoE switch adds wiring and another point of failure in the cabinet. The Vecow PE-2000 series puts IEEE 802.3at PoE+ ports straight into the PCI Express slot of the host, so each camera connects with one cable. Vecow describes each model as an Intel I210 PCI Express PoE+ card. We specify these cards for the vision and surveillance systems we build and supply.
Both builds share one architecture. Every port is a Gigabit RJ45 port on an 8-pin connector with its own Intel I210 controller, running at 10/100/1000 Mbps, so no two cameras share a controller. The host interface is PCI Express x4. The controllers support 9.5KB jumbo frames, link aggregation and teaming, and IEEE 1588 PTP for time-aligned capture. Link aggregation and teaming let two ports serve one device or provide failover. Each port complies with IEEE 802.3at and supplies up to 25.5 W at 48 V DC, fed from one 4-pin 12 V connector on the card. Vecow does not state a total PoE budget, so we size the 12 V feed against the camera loads.
The two variants differ in port count. The PE-2002 carries two Gigabit PoE+ ports for a pair of cameras, where the 12 V feed and slot space are modest. The PE-2004 carries four Gigabit PoE+ ports on the same board size, for four-camera cells and road-side cabinets. Both builds accept the same options: a 16-channel isolated DIO module with 8 inputs and 8 outputs for triggers and signals, and a software-programmable PoE power switch that lets the host restart a camera remotely. Moving from two cameras to four keeps the same controllers, connectors and options, so the cabling approach stays the same.
The cards operate from -25 to 70 °C and store from -40 to 85 °C. Vecow lists CE, FCC and RoHS compliance, and each board measures 168 x 121 x 21 mm for a full-height slot. The datasheet does not list operating system support, so we confirm drivers against the chosen host. Vecow names intelligent surveillance, machine vision, intelligent transport systems, logistics and industrial automation as applications.
