FCCVCM-2000AF Overview
Autonomous mobile robots, transport video systems and vehicle-mounted inspection rigs can need the processing of a 65 W processor and a supply that swings with the vehicle electrics. The Vecow VCM-2000AF brings both together: it is the wide-input fan-sink model of the VCM-2000 series, a compact industrial computer on 9 to 36 V DC rated from -40 °C to 60 °C.
The VCM-2000AF takes any processor on the VCM-2000 CPU list: Intel Core 200S (Bartlett Lake-S) parts with up to 24 cores, including P-core-only models, and 14th, 13th and 12th Gen Core i3 to i9 processors, from 35 W up to 65 W, on an Intel H610E chipset with Intel UHD Graphics. Vecow lists the 14th Gen parts for PC client use conditions only. Two DDR5 5600 MHz SO-DIMM slots take up to 96 GB under Windows 11 or Linux.
Networking is one Intel I219LM Gigabit port and three Intel I226 2.5GbE ports, with four RS-232/422/485 COM ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI 2.0 at up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz, DVI-I at up to 1920 x 1080 and audio. Storage covers two SATA III ports for SSD or HDD and an M.2 M key socket on PCIe x4. Two external SIM sockets serve an M.2 B key socket and a full-size Mini PCIe socket for optional 5G or 4G modules, while an M.2 E key socket and a second Mini PCIe socket take optional Wi-Fi or mSATA.
Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a three-pin terminal block, with 16-mode software ignition control and a remote switch block for in-vehicle use. TPM 2.0 is onboard, and the VCM-2000AF is rated for 50 G shock and 5 Grms vibration, carries CE, FCC and ICES marks and is designed to EN 50155 and EN 50121-3-2 requirements. It mounts on a wall bracket, with optional DIN rail and VESA kits. The VCM-2000F is the 12 V version with the same fan sink, and the VCM-2000A runs 35 W processors fanless on the same wide DC input.
