ViviSign SD22M-ANDROID 22″ Square Display with Android 7.1 Player, 1920 x 1920 LCD and 500 Nits

A square screen in a mall or supermarket is often mounted where there is no room, or no cabling, for a separate media player. The SD22M-ANDROID puts the player inside the display: it is the Android build in the ViviSign SD22M series, combining a 22 inch 1920 x 1920 native square LCD at 500 nits with an integrated Android 7.1 player.

The player runs on a quad-core Cortex-A17 processor with Mali-T764 graphics, 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory, which suits looping video, images and playlists. Content can be updated from USB or through a CMS, and third-party CMS software can be installed, so the display can join an existing signage network. The panel is a native square LCD with a 394.56 mm square active area, 1000:1 contrast, 178° viewing angles and a 25% haze anti-glare surface.

Connections for the player are two USB 2.0 ports, a wired LAN connection and Wi-Fi, with Bluetooth available as an option. Wi-Fi lets screens in a shop or gallery take updates without a network cable run to each one. Where content already comes from an external player, the SD22M is the HDMI monitor build of the same panel, and the SD33M-ANDROID offers the same Android player on a 33 inch screen.

Power comes from an external 100 to 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz supply delivering 12 V DC, with the SD22M rated at 40 W. It operates from 0 °C to 40 °C at 10 to 80% humidity, suiting indoor retail and exhibition spaces. The display measures 414 x 414 x 35 mm and weighs 5.5 kg, with a mounting bracket available as an option. ViviSign names museums, exhibition halls, shopping malls and supermarkets as the intended settings.
