Winmate EACSW-L2 Managed PoE Marine Ethernet Switch with SFP Combo Ports

Once a vessel network carries cameras, access points and controllers across several decks, the switch has to do more than pass packets: it needs to power devices, take a fiber uplink and recover quickly if a cable is cut. The EACSW-L2 is Winmate’s managed Layer 2 marine switch for that role, intended for marine bridge systems, shipboard automation and offshore operations.

Eight 10/100BASE-T/TX RJ45 ports deliver IEEE 802.3af/at PoE, so IP cameras, wireless access points and sensors can run from the switch without local power supplies. Two Gigabit combo ports take either copper RJ45 or an SFP module, which suits fiber links between bridge, engine room and deck where copper runs would be long or electrically noisy. Winmate’s IXM function is intended to speed up deployment of several switches.

Redundancy is Gigabit X-Ring Pro, with recovery in under 20 ms, plus RSTP and STP to 802.1w and 802.1D. The EACSW-L2 is managed through SNMP v1, v2c and v3, a web interface or Telnet, with standard and private MIBs, and port-based 802.1X authentication with MD5, TLS, TTLS and PEAP plus RADIUS. Within the Winmate range the EACSW is the unmanaged eight-port Fast Ethernet switch where PoE and management are not needed, and the EACIL20-MR is a small fanless marine computer that can sit on the same segment.

Power is two redundant DC inputs from 24 to 48 V, with the system drawing 12.1 W at 48 V DC before PoE loads. The fanless metal shell is rated IP30 and mounts on DIN rail or a wall. Winmate rates the switch from -15 to 55 °C at 5 to 95% humidity, with CE and FCC marks. We supply the EACSW-L2 configured and tested before dispatch, and can help plan PoE loads and ring topology.
