Winmate M101AD 10.1″ Rugged Windows Tablet with 12th Gen Intel Core, Hot-Swap Battery and MIL-STD-461G

A tablet that goes out with an engineer for a full shift has to be light enough to hold, fast enough for Windows applications and tough enough for vehicles, weather and the odd drop. The M101AD is Winmate’s 10.1 inch rugged Windows tablet for that, with an Intel Core i5-1235U, a 10.1″ optically bonded screen, a hot-swappable battery and MIL-STD-461G EMC. Winmate names field service, inspection, industrial mobility and mission-critical work as its uses.

The Core i5-1235U is a 12th Gen Alder Lake processor running at up to 4.4 GHz with Intel Iris Xe graphics, and an Intel Core 5 120U is offered as an option. Memory is 8 GB as standard with 16 GB or 32 GB optional, and storage is a 128 GB SSD with options to 2 TB, plus a micro SDXC slot. TPM 2.0 is fitted, SOTI MobiControl is supported and the tablet runs Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC. The screen shows 1920 x 1200 at 800 nits with optical bonding and anti-glare treatment under projected capacitive multi-touch.

A Gigabit LAN port, one USB 3.0 Type-A port and a USB-C port with 20 V power delivery in and display output sit on the tablet, with a 19-pin docking connector. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and GLONASS are built in; 4G LTE, 5G, HF RFID and a 1D/2D barcode reader are optional. Front and rear cameras, volume and two programmable keys are fitted. The M101TG is the same 10.1 inch tablet with an 11th Gen Core i5-1135G7, and the M101AD-EX is the hazardous area version of this tablet.

The M101AD is sealed to IP65, tested to MIL-STD-810H Methods 516.8 and 514.8 for shock, vibration and a 4 ft drop, and lists MIL-STD-461G EMC. A fan cools it from -20 °C to 60 °C. The hot-swappable battery gives around eight hours, and a desk dock, vehicle dock and vehicle cradle are optional. Power comes from a 19 V adapter or USB-C. We supply it configured, with Windows installed, and tested, ready to deploy.
