Copper to HDMI2.0 Overview
When a display, projector or monitor sits far from the PC or player feeding it, the signal has to be carried across the building and turned back into HDMI at the screen. The Copper to HDMI2.0 from Yuan is the receiver for that job in pro AV and display installations. It is the display-end half of a copper extender pair, converting a 10G copper link back into HDMI 2.0.
The input is one RJ45 port receiving YUAN AVXT network packets over 10G copper on Cat.6A cable. The output is one HDMI 2.0 connector carrying the video in the same format as the source, so resolution and frame rate follow whatever the transmitter receives. Up to eight channels of 24-bit audio at up to 192 kHz are delivered on the HDMI output. The stream format is detected automatically.
The Copper to HDMI2.0 is plug and play and runs from a 7.5V to 15V DC input in a compact housing. At the source end it pairs with the HDMI2.0 to Copper transmitter, which accepts HDMI 2.0 at up to 4096 x 2160p60. When one remote location has several screens, the HDMI2.0 Splitter can copy the received signal to four HDMI 2.0 displays. For SDVoE networks, the SDVoE to HDMI2.0 V2 receiver plays the same role.
In practice the receiver sits behind the display or in a floor box, powered locally. We supply the Copper to HDMI2.0 configured and tested with the source, display and Cat.6A cabling it will connect to, normally as a matched pair with its transmitter.
