Yuan HDMI2.0 to Copper HDMI Extender over Copper with HDMI 2.0 Input and 10G Cat6A Output at 4K60

The HDMI2.0 to Copper is Yuan's HDMI extender over copper, the transmitter that takes an HDMI 2.0 source at up to 4096 x 2160p60 and sends it over 10G copper on Cat.6A cable to a matching receiver. It suits AV rooms, lecture spaces and displays mounted away from the source.

  • HDMI 2.0 Input at 4K60: Accepts HDMI 2.0 sources at up to 4096 x 2160p60, down through 1080p, 720p and PC formats to SD.
  • 10G Copper Output: Sends the video over a single RJ45 port as YUAN AVXT packets on 10G copper using Cat.6A cable.
  • 192 kHz Audio: Carries up to eight channels of 24-bit HDMI audio at up to 192 kHz across the copper link.
  • Auto Format Detection: Detects the incoming HDMI source format automatically, so there is no set-up when the source resolution changes.
  • Compact and Plug and Play: A compact standalone transmitter powered from a 7.5V to 15V DC input that works once cabled.

HDMI2.0 to Copper Overview

Displays and projectors are often mounted well away from the PC, media player or camera feeding them, across a room, in a ceiling or on another floor. The HDMI2.0 to Copper from Yuan handles that job for pro AV and display installations. It is the transmitter half of a copper extender pair that carries HDMI 2.0 at 4K60 over Cat.6A cable instead of a long HDMI lead.

The input is one HDMI 2.0 connector accepting 4096 x 2160p and 3840 x 2160p at 60/50 and 30/25/24 fps, 1080p, 1080i, 720p, PC formats from 1280 x 1024 down to 640 x 480, and SD at 480 and 576 lines. The output is one RJ45 port carrying the video as YUAN AVXT network packets over 10G copper. Up to eight channels of 24-bit HDMI audio at up to 192 kHz travel across the link with the picture. The source format is detected automatically.

The HDMI2.0 to Copper is plug and play and runs from a 7.5V to 15V DC input in a compact housing. At the display end it pairs with the Copper to HDMI2.0 receiver, which turns the AVXT stream back into HDMI 2.0. Where the link needs to run over a switched network or fiber instead of a direct copper run, the HDMI2.0 to SDVoE V2 transmitter covers that with SDVoE.

In practice the transmitter sits beside the source, with the receiver behind the display. We supply the HDMI2.0 to Copper configured and tested with the source, display and Cat.6A cabling it will connect to, normally as a matched pair.
