HDMI2.0 to 12G-QSDI-S Overview
4K cameras, media players and graphics PCs mostly output HDMI 2.0, while broadcast systems route SDI, and not always the same flavour. The Yuan HDMI2.0 to 12G-QSDI-S is an HDMI to SDI converter that scales the source and delivers it as 12G-SDI, dual-link 6G-SDI or quad-link SDI, so one unit can feed old and new SDI kit.
Input is one HDMI 2.0 port at 4096×2160 or 3840×2160 at 60/50 or 30/25/24 fps, 1080p, and HD, SD and VESA PC formats from 640×480 to 1280×1024, plus a stereo jack for two-channel analog audio. Outputs are two 12G-SDI carrying equal signals, one 6G-SDI and two SDI, which together support 12G-SDI, dual-link 6G-SDI and quad-link SDI in two-sample interleave or square division. SDI output runs at 4K60, 4K30 on 6G-SDI, and HD formats to 720p. HDMI audio is eight channels up to 192 kHz, embedded into SDI at eight channels, 48 kHz.
The HDMI2.0 to 12G-QSDI-S runs from a 7.5 to 15 V DC input with auto source format detection. If you need an HDMI 2.0 loop-through and no scaling, the HDMI2.0 to 12G-QSDI is the fixed-format version. For two 12G-SDI outputs only, the HDMI2.0 to 12G-SDI also keeps an HDMI 2.0 output.
No operating temperature or certification is published, so we treat it as an indoor rack unit. We can also supply spare units for critical signal paths and advise on mounting and power in the rack, so the installation is ready before you go live.
