A capture PC in a control room or on an AV rack can be asked to take anything from an SDI camera to an old composite feed. The SC550N1-L AIO is Yuan’s low profile PCIe HDMI, SDI and DVI capture card with DVI-I and 3G-SDI connectors, covering digital, component and composite signals from one slim card.
The card has one DVI-I and one SDI connector as a single capture channel, and Yuan lists HDMI, CVBS, S-Video, YPbPr and SDI among its signals. Digital video is captured at up to 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps, while 1920 x 1200 signals at 60/50 fps are taken in and captured at 30/25 fps, with PC modes down to 640 x 480 and more through the SDK. Color formats cover 4:4:4 RGB24 and RGB32, 4:2:2 YUY2 and 4:2:0 YV12 and NV12 at 8 bits, giving software a choice between full color detail and lighter frames. The card also crops, scales and deinterlaces on board and detects the incoming signal automatically. SDI runs to 3G-SDI at 1080p 60/50 fps, and CVBS and S-Video cover 480i and 576i. Audio is one stereo embedded input at 16-bit and 32 to 48 kHz.
It is a PCIe x1 Gen1 card, with no on-board encoder. Windows and Linux SDKs cover custom applications, and DirectShow and V4L2 support lets vMix, OBS, Zoom, Teams and similar software open it directly. The SC550N1-L SDI is the SDI-only card with loop-through, and the SC550N1-L HDV drops SDI for DVI-I, YPbPr, S-Video and CVBS inputs.
Supported systems are Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, 32-bit and 64-bit Linux from kernel 2.6.14, Linux on ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. The board measures 120 x 68.9 mm in low profile format, with DVI-I and BNC connectors on the bracket. It also has 16 GPIO lines and a watchdog, and Yuan lists multi-device support.
