Yuan SC550N2-L HDMI PCIe HDMI Capture Card with 2 x HDMI Inputs at 1080p60

Streaming a presenter camera and a slide computer together, or recording two HDMI cameras, takes two capture channels in one PC. The SC550N2-L HDMI is Yuan’s 2-channel low profile PCIe HDMI capture card, putting both on one slim card.

Two HDMI inputs run as independent capture channels. Digital video is captured at up to 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps, while 1920 x 1200 signals at 60/50 fps are taken in and captured at 30/25 fps, with PC modes down to 640 x 480 and more through the SDK. Capture and preview formats are RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4, YUY2 at 4:2:2 and YV12 or NV12 at 4:2:0, all 8-bit, so host software receives frames in the layout it already expects. Cropping, scaling, deinterlacing and automatic signal detection run on the card rather than in host code. Audio is two stereo embedded inputs at 16-bit and 32 to 48 kHz, one per HDMI channel.

It is a PCIe x1 Gen2 card, with no on-board encoder. For software, Yuan provides Windows and Linux SDKs and lists vMix, OBS, Zoom, Skype, Teams and Webex among compatible applications through DirectShow and V4L2. The SC550N4 HDMI takes four HDMI sources on a full height card, and the SC550N2 M2 HDMI fits two HDMI channels into an M.2 socket.

Yuan lists support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, Linux kernel 2.6.14 or later in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux on ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. The board measures 131 x 68.9 mm in low profile format, with both HDMI connectors on the bracket. It has 16 GPIO lines and a watchdog, and Yuan lists multi-device support.
