Yuan SC550N2 M2 HDMI M.2 HDMI Video Capture Card with 2 x HDMI Inputs at 1080p60

Recording two HDMI sources, such as a presenter camera and a slide computer, usually means two capture cards and two cables into the host. The SC550N2 M2 HDMI is Yuan’s 2-channel M.2 HDMI video capture card, putting both inputs on one 22 x 80 mm card that fits an M.2 socket in a compact embedded PC.

Two HDMI inputs run at the same time, each as its own capture channel. Digital video is captured at up to 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps, while 1920 x 1200 signals at 60/50 fps are taken in and captured at 30/25 fps, with PC modes down to 640 x 480 and more through the SDK. Frames reach the host as 8-bit RGB24, RGB32, YUY2, YV12 or NV12, which lets display, analysis and encoding software pick the color format that suits it. Built-in cropping and scaling, a deinterlace engine and auto signal detection take routine work off the host. Each channel carries HDMI embedded audio, sampled as 16-bit stereo at 32 to 48 kHz.

The card fits an M.2 Type B/M socket at 2280 length and runs over a PCIe x1 link, with no on-board encoder, so frames reach the host for software to process. Yuan supplies Windows and Linux SDKs, and as a DirectShow and V4L2 device it works with vMix, OBS and conferencing tools such as Zoom, Teams and Webex. For four sources the SC550N4 M2 HDMI keeps the same 22 x 80 mm size, and the SC550N2 M2 SDI is the 2-channel SDI version.

Operating system support covers Windows 7 to Windows 10, Linux from kernel 2.6.14 in 32-bit and 64-bit form, Linux on ARM and the NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX modules. The card measures 22 x 80 mm and connects its HDMI inputs through a flat cable. Multi-device and multi-instance support are listed, so a host with more sockets can run further cards.
