Yuan SC550N4 SDI PCIe SDI Frame Grabber with 4 x SDI Inputs at 1080p60

A multi-camera SDI production, or a monitoring wall fed from several cameras, needs all feeds captured together without filling the PC with cards. The SC550N4 SDI is Yuan’s 4-channel PCIe SDI frame grabber, taking four 3G-SDI feeds through one full height card.

Four SDI inputs run as independent capture channels. It accepts 3G-SDI at up to 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps, HD-SDI at 1080p 30/25/24 fps, 1080i 60/50 fps and 720p 60/50 fps, and SD-SDI at 480i and 576i. Capture and preview formats are RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4, YUY2 at 4:2:2 and YV12 or NV12 at 4:2:0, all 8-bit, so host software receives frames in the layout it already expects. Cropping, scaling, deinterlacing and automatic signal detection run on the card rather than in host code. Audio is four stereo embedded inputs at 16-bit and 32 to 48 kHz, taken from the SDI streams.

It is a PCIe x4 Gen2 card with no on-board encoder, so each channel reaches the host for software to handle. For software, Yuan provides Windows and Linux SDKs and lists vMix, OBS, Zoom, Skype, Teams and Webex among compatible applications through DirectShow and V4L2. The SC550N8 SDI takes eight SDI feeds on the same interface, and the SC550N4 M2 SDI fits four SDI channels into an M.2 socket.

Yuan lists support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, Linux kernel 2.6.14 or later in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux on ARM, and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. The board measures 131 x 101.01 mm and Yuan specifies a full height bracket, with four BNC connectors. It has 16 GPIO lines and a watchdog, and Yuan lists multi-device support.
