Embedded systems that drive several screens need display outputs and a GPU that fits a small enclosure and power budget. The SKY-MXM-A1000 is the NVIDIA RTX A1000 Embedded from Advantech, an MXM graphics card in the standard MXM 3.1 Type A format built on the Ampere GA107 GPU. It suits multi-display graphics, video and lighter AI work in systems with an MXM 3.1 slot, with four DisplayPort 1.4a outputs in its discrete builds.
The GPU has 2,048 CUDA cores, 16 RT Cores and 64 Tensor Cores. At a 1,192 MHz base and 1,624 MHz boost clock it is rated at 6.66 TFLOPS FP32, and the low-power build runs at 630 MHz and 1,140 MHz for 4.67 TFLOPS. Memory is 4 GB of GDDR6 on a 128-bit interface at 224 GB/s, and ECC is not available. GPUDirect RDMA and GPUDirect for Video are supported, with unlimited encode sessions.
The SKY-MXM-A1000 connects over MXM 3.1 with PCI Express Gen4 x8. SKY-MXM-A1000-4HDA is the 60 W discrete build with four DisplayPort 1.4a outputs at up to 4K 120 Hz or 8K 60 Hz with DSC, SKY-MXM-A1000-4HHA is the 60 W headless MS-Hybrid build, and SKY-MXM-A1000-4SLA is a 35 W discrete build with four outputs. Cooling options are a standard fan cooler rated 0 °C to 40 °C, a high-CFM fan cooler rated 0 °C to 55 °C, or a heat spreader. Operation is 0 °C to 55 °C, dependent on CPU and cooler solution, with storage from -40 °C to 85 °C.
We supply the SKY-MXM-A1000 tested, and fit, configure and burn-in test it in the MXM GPU computers we build, choosing the build and cooler for the enclosure. Advantech supports five years’ availability. The SKY-MXM-A2000 doubles the memory to 8 GB with ECC, and the SKY-MXM-2000A is the Ada Lovelace Type A module with 8 GB of ECC GDDR6.
