Antaira LNX-0501 5-Port Fast Ethernet Unmanaged Industrial Ethernet Switches with 1x 100FX SC Multi-mode Fiber and Extended Temperature Options

Copper Ethernet runs out at 100 m and picks up interference near drives, welders and power cables, so a remote panel often needs fiber for the link home. Where the devices themselves only need Fast Ethernet, a fixed fiber port is the simplest answer: nothing to choose, nothing to fit. The Antaira LNX-0501 series takes that approach, with four copper ports and one built-in 100Base-FX fiber port in an unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch. Fewer parts in the panel also means fewer devices to fail: there is no separate media converter and no transceiver to source or stock as a spare.

Every LNX-0501 shares the same design. Four 10/100Base-T(X) RJ45 ports support auto MDI/MDI-X, and the fiber port works at 1310 nm in multi-mode (50/125 to 62.5/125 µm, up to 2 km) or single-mode (9/125 to 10/125 µm, up to 30 km). Switching is store-and-forward on a 1.0 Gbps fabric with a 2K MAC table and broadcast storm protection. Power arrives on redundant 12 to 48 V DC inputs on a 6-pin terminal block, with surge protection to 2,000 V DC, ESD protection to 6,000 V DC and a relay output that signals a power failure or port break.

The eight models differ by fiber mode, connector and temperature range. With SC connectors, the LNX-0501-M and LNX-0501-M-T carry multi-mode fiber up to 2 km, and the LNX-0501-S3 and LNX-0501-S3-T carry single-mode fiber up to 30 km. With ST connectors, the LNX-0501-ST-M and LNX-0501-ST-M-T are the multi-mode builds, and the LNX-0501-ST-S3 and LNX-0501-ST-S3-T are the single-mode builds. Standard models run from -10 °C to 70 °C, and the -T models from -40 °C to 75 °C for unheated enclosures. Match the connector to the existing patch panel and the mode to the installed fiber.

Antaira does not name specific applications for the LNX-0501 series; the fixed fiber port makes it a good fit where a machine or panel sits far from the network core or near heavy electrical plant. The port-break relay lets a PLC or alarm panel report a damaged fiber or cable before lost data is noticed. Every model sits in an IP30 metal case for DIN rail mounting, with wall mounting as an option and shock and vibration ratings to IEC 60068-2-27 and IEC 60068-2-6. Antaira lists the series as UL Class 1 Division 2 certified, with UL 508, FCC, CE and RoHS marks, and covers it with its 5-year warranty.
