Antaira LNX-C500 5-Port Compact Fast Ethernet Unmanaged Industrial Network Switches with Extended Temperature Options
The Antaira LNX-C500 series is a family of small 5-port Fast Ethernet unmanaged industrial network switches with five 10/100 RJ45 ports, redundant 12 to 48 V DC inputs, 1.2 W draw, surge and ESD protection and NEMA TS2 compliance in an IP30 metal case. The LNX-C500 series suits factory automation, ITS, power and utility, and water and wastewater treatment installations.
- Small-Footprint Metal Case: Antaira’s space-saving IP30 metal case fits crowded DIN rails and OEM equipment, with optional wall mounting.
- Five Fast Ethernet Ports: Five 10/100BaseTx RJ45 ports with auto MDI/MDI-X on a 1 Gbps store-and-forward backplane with an 8K MAC table.
- Redundant DC at 1.2 W: Dual 12 to 48 V DC inputs on a 4-contact terminal block draw only 1.2 W, with reverse polarity and overload protection.
- NEMA TS2 and UL 61010-1: Antaira lists NEMA TS2 compliance for traffic cabinets and UL 61010-1 certification, with FCC, CE and RoHS.
- Surge and ESD Protection: Surge protection to 2,000 V DC and ESD protection to 6,000 V DC help the switches ride out electrical noise.

LNX-C500 Description
Panel builders and machine OEMs often run out of DIN rail before they run out of devices, and a full-size switch can force a bigger enclosure. The Antaira LNX-C500 series is built for that squeeze: small 5-port Fast Ethernet unmanaged industrial network switches in a small metal case that Antaira designed for projects with little room to spare, so the switch fits where space is tight and the enclosure can stay the same size.
Every LNX-C500 shares the same design. Five 10/100BaseTx RJ45 ports auto-negotiate speed and duplex and support auto MDI/MDI-X, with store-and-forward switching on a 1 Gbps backplane, an 8K MAC address table, a 448 Kbit packet buffer and IEEE 802.3x flow control. Redundant 12 to 48 V DC inputs connect through a removable 4-contact terminal block and each switch draws only 1.2 W. Reverse polarity protection keeps the unit off if the supply is reversed, overload protection is built in, and the ports carry surge protection to 2,000 V DC and ESD protection to 6,000 V DC. The low power draw matters in small enclosures, where a switch shares a modest DIN-rail supply with controllers and I/O, and the absence of any management interface means a spare from stores can be fitted by any technician without a laptop or a configuration file.
The series offers two temperature grades. The LNX-C500 is the standard build, rated -10 °C to 70 °C for indoor panels and OEM machines. The LNX-C500-T is the extended temperature build, rated -40 °C to 75 °C for unheated roadside, utility and water treatment cabinets. For damp or corrosive sites the LNX-C500-CC series adds conformal coating, and the LNX-C500G series brings gigabit ports to the same small case.
Both models use an IP30 metal case for a DIN rail, with wall mounting as an option, rated to IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-6 vibration. Antaira lists FCC, CE, RoHS and UL 61010-1 certification and NEMA TS2 compliance for traffic cabinets, and covers the LNX-C500 series with its 5-year warranty. Antaira names factory automation, ITS, power and utility, and water and wastewater treatment plants as applications, and these small industrial network switches suit any of them where a few Fast Ethernet links and a tight panel meet.

Official Antaira USA Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Antaira USA distributor, supplying the LNX-C500 series for USA factory automation, ITS, utility and water programs. Within the Antaira range, the LNX-C500-CC adds conformal coating for damp or corrosive sites, and the LNX-C500G moves the five ports to gigabit in the same size of case. Both temperature grades are available, and our team can advise on low-wattage DIN-rail power supplies and on which grade suits each panel, from indoor machines to unheated roadside cabinets.
The LNX-C500 series sits among our unmanaged switches for tight panels, our industrial network switches and our Ethernet switch range. Where a crowded panel needs five Fast Ethernet links on very little power, this is the Antaira series to specify.
