Antaira LNX-C500-T 5-Port Compact Fast Ethernet Unmanaged Industrial Network Switch with -40 to 75 °C

The LNX-C500-T is the extended temperature build of the Antaira LNX-C500 series, rated -40 °C to 75 °C. It keeps five Fast Ethernet ports, redundant 12 to 48 V DC inputs and NEMA TS2 compliance in a small IP30 case for roadside, utility and water cabinets without heating.

  • Extended -40 °C to 75 °C Rating: Rated -40 °C to 75 °C, so the switch can sit in unheated roadside, utility and water treatment cabinets through winter and summer.
  • NEMA TS2 Traffic Compliance: Antaira lists NEMA TS2 compliance for traffic control cabinets, with UL 61010-1 certification and FCC, CE and RoHS.
  • Space-Saving IP30 Case: A small metal IP30 case fits beside controllers and terminals on a crowded DIN rail, or on a wall with the optional kit.
  • Five 10/100 RJ45 Ports: Five 10/100BaseTx RJ45 ports with auto MDI/MDI-X on a 1 Gbps store-and-forward backplane with an 8K MAC table.
  • Low-Power Redundant DC: Redundant 12 to 48 V DC inputs on a 4-contact terminal block draw 1.2 W, with reverse polarity and overload protection.

LNX-C500-T Overview

Traffic cabinets, water treatment enclosures and utility boxes are often small, unheated and already full of equipment. The LNX-C500-T is the extended temperature model in the Antaira LNX-C500 series, rated -40 °C to 75 °C: a five-port Fast Ethernet unmanaged industrial network switch in a small metal case for those cabinets.

Five 10/100BaseTx RJ45 ports auto-negotiate speed and duplex and support auto MDI/MDI-X. Store-and-forward switching runs on a 1 Gbps backplane with an 8K MAC address table, a 448 Kbit packet buffer and IEEE 802.3x flow control. There is no set-up: the switch passes traffic once it is powered, so a field technician can swap one in without a laptop.

Redundant 12 to 48 V DC inputs land on a removable 4-contact terminal block, and the switch draws 1.2 W, which leaves headroom on a small cabinet supply. Reverse polarity protection keeps the unit off if the wiring is reversed, overload current protection is built in, and the ports are protected against surges to 2,000 V DC and ESD to 6,000 V DC.

The IP30 metal case mounts on a DIN rail, or on a wall as an option, and is rated to IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-6 vibration. Antaira lists FCC, CE, RoHS and UL 61010-1 certification, NEMA TS2 compliance and its 5-year warranty for the LNX-C500-T, and names factory automation, ITS, power and utility, and water and wastewater treatment as applications. The LNX-C500 is the standard build rated -10 °C to 70 °C, and the LNX-C500-T-CC adds conformal coating for damp or corrosive cabinets.
