Antaira LNX-C500G-T 5-Port Compact Gigabit Unmanaged DIN Rail Ethernet Switch with -40 to 75 °C

Roadside and utility cabinets now carry gigabit cameras and controllers, yet many are small and unheated. The LNX-C500G-T is the extended temperature model in the Antaira LNX-C500G series, rated -40 °C to 75 °C: a five-port gigabit unmanaged DIN rail Ethernet switch in a small metal case for those enclosures.

Its five 10/100/1000BaseTx RJ45 ports auto-negotiate speed and duplex and support auto MDI/MDI-X. A 10 Gbps store-and-forward backplane lets all five ports run at gigabit speed together, with an 8K MAC address table, a 1 Mbit packet buffer, 10K jumbo frames and IEEE 802.3x flow control. The switch is unmanaged, so a technician can fit or replace one with no set-up.

Redundant 12 to 48 V DC inputs land on a removable 4-contact terminal block and the switch draws 6.6 W. If the supply is wired backwards, reverse polarity protection keeps the unit off rather than damaging it, overload current protection is built in, and the ports carry surge protection to 2,000 V DC and ESD protection to 6,000 V DC.

The IP30 metal case mounts on a DIN rail, or on a wall as an option, and is rated to IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-6 vibration. Antaira lists FCC, CE, RoHS and UL 61010-1 certification, NEMA TS2 compliance and its 5-year warranty for the LNX-C500G-T, and names factory automation, ITS, power and utility, and water and wastewater treatment as applications. The LNX-C500G is the standard build rated -10 °C to 70 °C, and the LNX-C500-T is the Fast Ethernet option at the same temperature range.
