Arestech BPC-5080-2A1 Intel Core i7-9700T Fanless Industrial Box PC with VGA and 2x DisplayPort

Upgrading a signage controller or operator station often runs into one display that cannot be replaced yet, typically an analog monitor built into a panel or a kiosk. The Arestech BPC-5080-2A1 keeps a VGA output alongside two DisplayPort outputs, making it the H310 model in the BPC-5080 series of fanless industrial box PCs.

The LGA1151 socket takes 9th and 8th Gen Intel Core processors, with Arestech listing the Core i7-9700T, i7-8700T, i5-8500T and i3-8100T plus Pentium G5400T and Celeron G4900T options. Two DDR4 2666 SO-DIMM sockets hold up to 64 GB with Core i5 and above, or 32 GB with Core i3, Pentium and Celeron, and Intel UHD Graphics 630 handles video decode and display on the BPC-5080-2A1.

On the BPC-5080-2A1, the Intel H310 chipset drives two DisplayPort 1.2 outputs at up to 4096 x 2304 at 60 Hz and a VGA output at up to 1920 x 1200. Two RS-232 DB9 ports sit at the front, networking runs on an Intel I219V and an Intel I210 GbE controller, and the M.2 M Key 2242/2260/2280 slot takes a SATA III SSD. Four USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports at the rear and four USB 2.0 ports at the front cover cameras and peripherals, two 7 mm 2.5″ SATA III bays hold data drives, and a full-size mini-PCIe slot plus an M.2 E Key 2230 slot take Wi-Fi or Bluetooth modules.

Power arrives at 12 V or 19 to 28 V DC through a Phoenix connector, with typical consumption of 15.7 W at 24 V. The BPC-5080-2A1 runs fanless from -20 °C to 60 °C when fitted with extended-temperature memory and an M.2 SSD, which places it in the wide-temperature class, and it is tested to 1 Grms random vibration and 20 G shock. The industrial box PC measures 238 x 61 x 245 mm, weighs 3.22 kg and wall mounts. Where three DisplayPort outputs, RAID 0/1 and an RS-485 port are needed, the BPC-5080-1A1 is the Q370 sibling.
