Arestech CB-2200/2250 Intel Alder Lake-N N97 or Core i3-N305 Rugged Compact Computers with Ignition Control
The Arestech CB-2200/2250 series is a family of fanless rugged computers on Alder Lake-N, with the Intel Processor N97 or the Core i3-N305. Both have 9 to 48 V DC power ignition control, two 2.5GbE ports, two DisplayPort 1.4a outputs, two COM ports, isolated DIO, a removable 2.5" SSD and TPM 2.0, rated from -40 °C to 70 °C.
- Power Ignition Control: A 9 to 48 V DC input with ignition control, PC/Car mode and delay-time switches for vehicle installs.
- N97 or Core i3-N305: Choose the Intel Processor N97 or the Core i3-N305, both with DDR5 4800 and TPM 2.0.
- -40 °C to 70 °C Operation: Fanless, cable-free operation from -40 °C to 70 °C, tested to 5 Grms vibration and 50 G shock.
- Dual 2.5GbE and Dual DP: Two 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226-IT and two DisplayPort 1.4a outputs, one carried on USB Type-C.
- Isolated DIO and COM: Four isolated DI, four isolated DO and two RS-232/422/485 ports for sensors, relays and controllers.

CB-2200/2250 Description
Kiosks, access control points, IoT gateways and vehicle installs all ask the same things of a small computer: start in the cold, ride out unstable power and keep running under vibration. The Arestech CB-2200/2250 series answers with a fanless, cable-free design, 9 to 48 V DC power ignition control and a -40 °C to 70 °C operating range. Arestech lists factory automation, access control, self-service kiosks, rugged embedded work and IoT gateways, and the ignition control suits in-vehicle use.
The series offers two processors on the same board. The CB-2200 runs an Intel Processor N97 at up to 3.6 GHz for gateways and kiosks, and the CB-2250 runs an Intel Core i3-N305 at up to 3.8 GHz for heavier multitasking. Both have one DDR5 4800 SO-DIMM socket for up to 16 GB and TPM 2.0. A removable 2.5″ SATA SSD tray with thumbscrews holds the main drive, and an M.2 B-Key 2230/2242/2280 slot with PCIe, SATA and USB 3.0 takes either a SATA M.2 SSD or an optional 4G or 5G module. Windows 11 IoT and Linux are supported.
Every CB-2200/2250 has two 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226-IT controllers, two DisplayPort 1.4a outputs at up to 4096 x 2160 (one through USB Type-C), three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A and one USB 2.0 Type-A port. Two RS-232/422/485 ports, four isolated DI and four isolated DO on terminal blocks, line-out and mic-in complete the I/O, and a full-size mini-PCIe slot with two SIM holders supports optional wireless. An external clear-CMOS switch and removable CMOS battery make field servicing simpler.
Power is 9 to 48 V DC through a DC jack or three-pin terminal block with ignition input, with a PC/Car mode switch and a delay-time switch, and protection against over-voltage, over-current and reverse polarity. The extruded aluminum chassis is tested to 5 Grms vibration and 50 G shock and carries CE and FCC Class A marks. A wall kit is included and a DIN-rail kit is optional.
